30 freelancers under Kelaga Gading Sub-district Water Resources are cleaning up the connecting channels (PHB), Jalan Tangguh, Kelapa Gading Barat and Jalan Prihatin, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

The channels cleaned are on Jalan Tangguh with 700 meters length and Jalan Prihatin with 500 meters length

Kelapa Gading Sub-district Water Resources' Executing Unit Head, Rukmana disclosed it is carried out to follow up public complaints that saying the water in the channel does not flow smoothly. That is why the inundation often overflows when it rains.

"The channels cleaned are on Jalan Tangguh with 700 meters length and Jalan Prihatin with 500 meters length," he explained, Tuesday (1/16).

It is targeted to be complete within two weeks.

As planned, in the upcoming April, those channels would have a 500-meter-length U-Ditch concrete. In details, the U-Ditch concrete as long as 40 centimeters will be attached on the channel of Jalan Prihatin will have 40 centimeters.

"As for Jalan T angguh, will have U-Ditch as long as 80 centimeters," he stated.
